Collective trauma

I have struggled to know what to write recently, how I can support others through this trauma while I am experiencing it myself.
Some of the many issues currently igniting stress and fear in the world right now are related to finances, health, violence, weather, discrimination, political fear/oppression.
Many currently feel as though we are going through a collective trauma due to these fears. As the following link describes, the extent that these collective traumas can impact us varies depending on our identities. https://www.apa.org/about/governance/president/grief-toolkit/collective-trauma.pdf
As the following link suggests, to heal, we need individual and collective support. Let me stress, we cannot do this alone and anyone can do anything, but not everything. Please consider your abilities, resources, and energy. Please seek the support you deserve, even if it doesn’t show up as you hope, you still deserve support.
I anticipate that much like the collective trauma of the pandemic, there were many phases and our energy may wax and wane. Take the time you need this spring and summer to be in nature, with community and practices that support you for the long haul. Get involved as able and create and support the community resources that you value.
